Inaugural Pride List
October 1st marks the beginning of LGBTQ+ History Month and the Murray State University Pride Center is kicking off the month with the release of the inaugural Pride List. The Pride List is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, community members and family members to show their pride and support for the growing LGBTQ+ Racer community. The Pride List can be found on the Pride Center webpage beginning today, October 1, 2021.
The Pride lIst was signed by:

Pop Up Clothing Swap
The Pride Center invites you to participate in our first gender-affirming clothing swap in celebration of National Coming Out Day. Students will be able to browse and select gender-affirming clothing in a supportive setting.
When: October 11th from 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Blackburn Room 249
Casual clothing donations in good condition will be accepted in the Pride Center during normal business hours beginning October 4th. Leftover clothing will be donated to Angels Attic following the event.

Everyday Expressions: An Inclusive Makeup Experience
This is an opportunity for students to learn basic, makeup application skills from other students! Our theatre students will be hosting stations for our visitors to rotate through. Each station will focus on a different application skill. All students are invited to participate in this inclusive experience!
When: October 18th from 4 pm to 5:30 pm (Come and go as you need.)

International Pronouns Day: Social Media Challenge
The Pride Center will be hosting a social media challenge in recognition of International Pronouns Day. We have seen our campus working hard to embrace pronoun sharing in everyday communication. We hope that you will join us on October 20th, as we continue to recognize the power of pronouns. Make sure to follow us on Instagram for participation details.

Alliance
Alliance has WEEKLY meetings on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm! Check the calendar for meeting information! There will be movie nights, bowling nights, res hall socials, game/creative nights and more! Make sure to get connected with Alliance for a fun filled semester!

Share What You Know
There are many systems of support and processes that work on our campus! Single occupancy restrooms, free vocal training, name change options, opportunities to share pronouns...and more. Share what you are doing. Share what has worked. The Pride Center wants to share your good work with students and you never know who might be inspired by what you are doing to make changes to their own systems and processes!

Safe Zone Training 2.0 - November 10th at 12:30 pm - On Zoom
Safe Zone 2.0 will focus on ally training with specific attention given to campus culture and best practices. This training should be taken only after completing Safe Zone 1.0 through Canvas.
