Day Care Supervisor
Take Your Kid to Work Day - Jasleen Gosal
THE DAY STARTS EARLY
The day started off with getting up at 6:00 a.m. to get ready, and leaving the house for work at 7:00 a.m. Once there, first task is cleaning the day care and making it presentable for when kids start to arrive. Once the kids arrive, breakfast if prepared (Oatmeal and Milk) and the kids eat. After breakfast, the kids sing nursery rhymes and play with educational toys.
AFTERNOON
In the afternoon, the kids have lunch and then take a nap and then continue playing, this time they play dress-up or play "House", since this helps them with their interpersonal skills. After play pretend, the kids are read a storybook. The afternoon ends off with the kids having a snack and then their parents come to pick them up around 5:00 p.m. From there, we close up the day care and head home.

THAT WAS MY DAY AS A DAY CARE SUPERVISOR
SOME THINGS THAT I LEARNED WERE:
I had thought that being a day care supervisor was an easy job and that there was nothing to it, but I was wrong. Taking care of multiple kids in a day is a hard job, since you have to watch over them, make sure they are safe, and make sure that they are comfortable. Kids make a mess too so there's a lot of cleaning involved as well.
