4-H Projects and News

Students learned about an upcoming 4-H project that is required by all 4-H students in the county on Friday. By this Wednesday, students will have picked out their "How to" topic for 4-H. All homeroom classes will be writing expository papers that will go with their projects in class. However, students will need to do their posters for their projects at home. PROJECT DUE DATE: Monday, December 13

What Are We Doing

Reading: Point of View, Comparing/Contrasting, Nonfiction Text Structure


Language/Phonics: Compound/Complex Sentences, Conjunctions, Prepositions, Interjections, Mono and Uni prefixes


Writing: Opinion Writing and Point of View Writing

Rance's Class has a paragraph due by Thursday. Parents must sign saying they have seen and read it. Rough copy with skipped lines and evidence of student editing and revising it is due with it. Thank you.


Math: Fractions Galore! We will be reviewing simplification of fractions and learn how to add and subtract fractions. IXL- Section F. Math tutoring will take place on Thursday. No math tutoring will take place after school during the month of December. Any student needing extra help is welcome to go see Mrs. Gregory at 7:30 any morning before school.


Science: We will be making our natural disaster slideshow presentations in class on Monday and Tuesday. Your child has this saved on their Google Drive, so make sure you have them share it with you! Our Earth Science test will be Thursday, November 19. A study guide went home last Thursday to help prepare for this.


Social Studies: Turn of the Century test on Monday. Review of all that we have learned for the rest of this week.

Each student will need a shoe box for a project in December. You can send them in whenever.
