Upcoming Events
3rd and 4th Grade Musical
December Lights, December Nights! The third and fourth grade musical will be Thursday, December 8th. There will be a concert at 1:30 for the students and teachers at Goodrich that day. The evening concert will be held at 6:30PM in the Jefferson Junior High School gym. Students should arrive at 6:10 and meet in the band room. They should wear dark jeans, or pants and a red, yellow, blue or green shirt. Girls could wear skirts or dresses if they would like. Dark flat shoes or boots should be worn so that they are comfortable. They will be standing for the duration of the show, so please no shoes with a heel. The kids have been working so hard and can't wait to perform it for you! More detailed information went home in your child's Friday Folder before conferences.
5th and 6th Grade Chorus Concert
The 5th and 6th graders in chorus have been working hard on putting their show together for you. They will also be performing in the afternoon concert for the students and teachers at Goodrich. Their evening concert will be at Jefferson Junior High, starting at 7:30. Please have the students arrive and meet in the band room at 7:15. They should wear something a little dressy for their concert. The concert will be great and I can't wait for you to hear it! More detailed information went home in your child's Friday Folder before conferences.
6th Grade Guitar
The 6th graders will begin their guitar unit this week. Forms went home with the children this week to be a participant in my grad school research project. This project is a part of the completion of my Master's in Music Education degree. The children will be participating in the guitar unit as usual. There is nothing outside of school for your child to do. The permission is to allow me to use the data I collect during their unit in my project. Their name or personal information will not be used at all! Thanks for your permission in this case study!
Bucket Drumming
I am working on starting a bucket drumming unit and am looking for donations. If you have any 5 gallon buckets (relatively clean) at home or extra dowel rods lying around that you are not using, I would be grateful for the donation. Please see picture for example of size of buckets and dowel rods.
