Description: They enforce traffic laws on rural traffic highways, investigate rural traffic accidents, recover stolen cars, get wanted people, and assist other officers in emergencies. They are responsible for protecting the State Capital in Austin, Texas.
Qualifications: Applicants must be 21 years old and have a minimum of 60 college hours or military experience at the ratio on the website.
Salary: Trooper trainees make $39,366 a year and first year troopers make $51,943 a year.
