Castle Rock Communiqué

We love our Knights!

November 1, 2020 (Week Thirteen)

Hello Castle Rock Families!

Happy November! We had a blast seeing so many of you Saturday evening at the Diamond Bar High School Drive Through Spooktacular! Whatever you did that evening, we hope you enjoyed your Knight and made lasting memories!

This week is parent conference week for students in grades K, 1, 2, and 5. If you have not made arrangements yet with your child's teacher for your conference, please do so as soon as possible. To support our conferences, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND FRIDAY of this week are modified days. Instruction ends at 11:30 for TK and K, and 12:30 for grades 1 through 5. There will be no tutorial time on these days as teachers will be meeting with parents. Please mark your calendars.

Thank you for your time; please don't miss the rest of our announcements below!

Take care and stay well,

Jen Alcazar

Principal, Castle Rock Elementary School

Wow! Our IB scholars are making a global difference during distance learning! As part of Red Ribbon Week, our students partnered with Mrs. Lui's second graders to make #9 on the UNICEF Kid Power Global leaderboard! To date, our students have provided 20 therapeutic food packets for malnourished children, donated face masks, and planted a tree! Keep up the great work; we are proud of you! Now that is global action!

Please share the attached flyer with the upcoming dates and locations of our meetings to any family interested in attending Walnut Valley. Current families enrolled in Walnut Valley do not need to attend these meetings.
