Harvey Green Families,

Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! Below you will find a lot of information regarding our bell schedule, voluntary supply list, Maze day and much more. Please take the time to review all of these items. Also, the Harvey Green PTA and I would appreciate if you joined our PTA! To join you can use the link or QR code below. PTA provides many opportunities for our students and supports our staff in various ways.

Throughout the year you will receive emails from FUSD, be sure to read each one as we will send out important information in this format.

IMPORTANT- Online Maze Information

Thank you to all families who have already successfully completed all Maze forms! Please make sure you have logged into your Infinite Campus parent portal and completed all documents in the online registration section under the "more" tab. Please get forms completed and filled out by August 11th. Starting August 12th if your forms are completed the “Schedule” will become live and you can see your child’s teacher name.

MAZE is Fremont Unified School District’s annual registration confirmation process in which parents/guardians:

  • provide required information for each enrolled student - such as emergency contacts and current proof of residency,

  • acknowledge certain parent/guardian and student rights and responsibilities, and

  • access specific school forms/information.

Completing the MAZE process ensures your student’s school has accurate information, and allows families to view student schedules/classroom assignments and their teachers when that information is released in August.

MAZE forms for all FUSD students must be completed online through the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal. The window to complete the MAZE process for the 2022-23 school year is July 18 through the first day of school: August 17, 2022.

Before and After School Day Care

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School, for before and after school care at Harvey Green Elementary School. Starting in the fall of 2022, Right At School will offer the program to students in TK through Fifth grade.

For those families who wish to participate in this program, it will be available from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. every day school is in session. Families will be able to work with Right At School to create flexible monthly schedules to support their busy lives. Just create your own monthly schedule by choosing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. Drop-in care as well as punch cards are also flexible options, and Right At School will be available during breaks, non-school days, and summer.

Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework. The program also features an enriched curriculum in the form of two-week units. Examples of units include: Getting Down to Business: students are introduced to money and commerce; Icky Experiments: students experiment with sticky substances to learn chemistry; and Variety Show: students rehearse and perform individual talent acts.

Right At School is hosting a virtual “Family Information Night" to provide an overview of their programs, to answer questions, and to interact with you.

Attendance on the FIRST Day of School

All students are expected to report to school on the FIRST day, Wednesday, August 17. Students who do not attend the FIRST day of school will be dropped at the end of the FIRST day of school. Students who are dropped will not be guaranteed a seat at the school and may have to be overloaded to other schools upon return. The only exceptions will be students who are absent due to illness. If a student is absent the FIRST day due to illness, parents or guardians must notify the school every day the student is absent. Seats will not be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified.

Per Board Policy any parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District shall notify the District prior to or within five (5) days of any change in circumstance and/or a move which would affect their student’s residency (AR 5111.1).

Please complete and email the Change of Address Form with 2 proofs of new address residency to your current school.
