Charlestown School Updates
For members of our learning community - Jan. 1st, 2016
Great Resolutions for Kids
I particularly like…
- I'll be friendly to kids who may have a hard time making friends by asking them to join activities such as sports or games.
- I will try to find a sport (like basketball or soccer) or an activity (like playing tag, jumping rope, dancing or riding my bike) that I like and do it at least three times a week!
- I will always tell an adult about any bullying I may see or hear about to help keep school safe for everyone.
In case you missed it last week, click this link to see our staff and students dancing to Feliz Navidad
Mrs. Lawing also videotaped the 4th grade chorus singing at today's concert. After we iron out a few glitches, we will upload this video to same Chariho You Tube page.
Link to Great Websites for kids
The Association for Library Services to Children, a division of the American Library Association, has a wonderful updated list of websites that are great for school-aged children.
You can search by subject/interest and know that these are great sites for your child.
Chariho Employees of the Month
The district has an ongoing Employee Recognition Program. Parents, students, and community members can nominate staff members each month. We know that our school is filled with amazing and skilled staff members.
Nominations for this month are due Jan. 8th.
