As we get closer to winter break, which begins next week, we are continuing to work hard and support students to be successful and engaged here at Hedden. I love walking the halls and visiting classrooms, as it's so rewarding to see the great work taking place. Hedden has always been such a wonderful place to work and learn and the start of this school year has proved that to be as true as ever. As we look to close out 2022 and slip into 2023, in just a few short weeks, we hope to carry our success and momentum into the new year.

Before we get to our break we do have a couple events coming up that we hope our students will be able to participate in, to include our PTO craft night tomorrow and Mini-Spirit Week starting next Monday. If we don't see you here at Hedden before our break begins, then I hope you have a wonderful break and are able to have as much joy and relaxation with friends and family as you can handle. Have a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

As part of our continued collaboration with families and caregivers, we are hoping to get your input using a survey that we put together. In the hopes of getting to know our families and community even better, we're asking our families and caregivers to provide us with information regarding celebrations and traditions that you observe. Teachers have sent home paper copies for our families and caregivers to fill out, but here is a digital copy that you can either:

1. Make a digital copy and fill it out then share with your students teacher via email.

2. Print a copy and fill it out then send it with your student to hand to their teacher.

3. Again, if you have already fill this out and returned, don't worry about this request.

• For Hedden this means that 5th grade & 4th Grade change their specialist schedules
