HURON NEWS
February 2021
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello Huron Families,
Winter seems to have arrived! Please send students to school dressed for the weather. As long as the temperature remains above 20 degrees, with the wind chill factored in, we will go outside.
NWEA reports will be emailed home this week by the district. Please look for them in your inbox.
Please see the important information below regarding Valentine's Day and the parking lot procedures.
Take Care!

Valentine's Day
In an effort to provide some normalcy to our students, we are going forward with a Valentine's celebration. In order for it to work and follow the Covid-19 protocols, it is imperative that ALL guidelines are followed. Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation. Please see the guidelines below.
- A celebration will be held for Cohort A on Wednesday, February 10th and for Cohort B on Thursday, February 11th.
- Our Huron PTO has graciously donated treats for all of our students. Thank you!!
- No outside treats will be permitted.
- Students may bring in Valentines for their cohort. Valentines only please; do not have anything attached to the Valentine such as candy, pencils or toys.
- Teachers have a safe process for distributing the Valentines in student boxes or bags.
- The boxes or bags will be closed and sent home at dismissal with your child.
- Parents, please make the decision as to when you will allow your child to sort through their Valentines. They will not be sorting through them at school.
- Teachers will conduct an activity or game with the students.
Parking Lot
I ask that we continue to all work together to ensure that traffic flows smoothly in the parking lot. Please review the following reminders:
- When parking, use only one parking space.
- There is only one drop-off lane. It is located along the curve.
- Please move all the way forward to the front of the lane as traffic allows. Please do not stop at the spot closest to your child's door. Doing this will back the traffic up and onto Terra Bella and Aynesley.
- Please have your student(s) ready, with masks on and backpacks in hand, so that they are able to exit the car right away.
