Angel Tree Project and Family Blessings

CWE has been participating yearly in the Salvation Army Angel tree project with the exception of last year. This year we are setting up the tree to hang gift tags for children gifts to those in need.

Attached is information for those families at CWE who may experience hardships during this time and are interested in being recipients. Gift tags may be taken from the Christmas tree located in the front office by an adult. All unwrapped gifts must be left at CWE front office, no later than December 14th. Thank you ahead of time to those families who wish to participate in this generous holiday activity.

Early Christmas Blessings,

Suzanne Chapelle RN

Nurse News

I know everyone is looking forward to the holiday break and spending time with family and friends. Please remember that even though our community COVID numbers are inching down, our school still requires students who present with any illness symptoms, to remain out 10 days and/or return with a NEG COVID test (record on file with the nurse). We have been so fortunate to be one of the few schools remaining in GREEN since the start of school.

I want to give a big shout out to our great body of parents who are keeping their child(ren) home with all illness symptoms. COVID in elementary children resemble all colds. It is a virus and like all viruses it mimics what could or could not be a winter cold. Testing for COVID is the ONLY way to be sure that your child is not spreading cold germs and/or COVID to others. With gratitude for all you are sacrificing to keep everyone healthy at CWE.

Happy Holidays,

Suzanne Chapelle -your school nurse
