Blanton Choir Performances

This week the Blanton Squire Choir performed during their annual Nursing Home Tour. These special performances are appreciated by the residents of the nursing homes visited. Our students can see the joy they bring as they sing holiday songs. We appreciate the Squire Choir, Mr. Miranda and our chaperones for their efforts to make this traditional tour special for all.

Tonight is the Denton Tree Lighting. Our choir and ocarina groups will be performing in Denton. The Order of the Ocarina will be in the Courthouse on the Square at 6:30 and the Squire Choir will be in front of the Bayless Selby House at 7:00. We know both groups will provide great music for all to hear.

Student Spotlight

Ethan Franke (4th Grade) and Claire Crull (5th Grade) were honored this week at the DISD Adopt-a-School Young Writers Ceremony in Denton. Both of these students received 1st place at the campus level for their respective grade levels.

Ethan and Claire also received district honors. Ethan's essay placed 4th overall and Claire's essay placed 2nd in their respective grade levels.

We are proud of their efforts as they wrote from the heart for the Kindness Rocks theme.

Sadie's Sleigh Drop Off at Blanton

We are so excited to partner once again with the Sadie Keller Foundation during this special time of year. Sadie’s vision last year was to collect 10,000 toys for the brave cancer fighters in the hospital over the holidays. Last year, Sadie surpassed her goal by collecting more than 12,000 toys with the support of friends, family, our amazing community, and businesses around the area. With your help, Sadie hopes to collect even more toys this year. Sharing the magic of the holiday season positively impacts the lives of those affected by cancer and is a goal dear to Sadie’s heart.

Our school will support Sadie’s Sleigh by collecting new unwrapped toys now through December 13th. A collection box will be available at the front office and in some of our hallways.

Please help Sadie today by donating a new unwrapped toy!

Additionally, the Sadie Keller Foundation would like to invite you and your family to Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 7th at the Harpool Middle School Cafeteria. Details will be posted soon on the Sadie Keller Foundation Facebook page and promoted throughout Lantana.

To learn more about Sadie and her foundation, please visit www.sadiekellerfoundation.org.

Thank you for your support!
