Better Together

Dear Wiggin Street Families,

3rd-5th Grade ELA: April 12-13

3rd-5th Grade Math: April 18-19

5th Grade Science: April 25-26

We wish those of you heading out of town safe travels, and those having a staycation, a relaxing one!

Best wishes,

BOB Pep Rally 2023

Great job, Wiggin Street Battle of the Books Team!

Our Wiggin Street BOB Team represented our school very well at this year's Battle of the Books! With 84 books on the list this year, students worked together to read and prepare to answer questions with the title and author of the books. This is an incredible feat that most adults would be hesitant to try on stage in front of an audience. We are so proud of their efforts!

SAVE THE DATE for the Fun Festival Community Event April 21st 5:00-8:00pm!

Music Teacher of the Day

Caylee Pelton had so much fun with her math-a-thon prize as "Music Teacher for the Day"! She decided that the class should call her Ms. Caylee and earned the respect of the students. Her natural mannerisms- like great eye contact, hands on hips, and bending down to talk with students- showed her confidence in the classroom. Ms. Caylee taught a new song, made sure the students were seated in correct formations, and led the day's activities.

Thank you for leading music class Ms. Caylee!

Ms. Black, Art Teacher for the Week

Harper was Art Teacher for the Week as her Math-a-thon Reward. She taught students to make a beach scene using salt for the texture of sand. She enjoyed having students call her Ms. Black and took the job very seriously. Thank you for sharing your love of art with your fellow students!

Volunteers Needed for Fun Festival

Save the date! Friday, April 21st is our Annual Spring Fun Festival!

We are in need of volunteers. You can find available slots for games here and other items here.

Also we are in need of the following donations: cookies, brownies, Rice Crispy Treats, etc. for desserts in the cafeteria. Also cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and other desserts for the 4 Corners Game prizes.

Grades 3-5 Ohio State Testing Dates

Please keep these dates in mind when scheduling appointments for April. Make-up testing takes some of our educators away from intervention instruction, so we like to limit it as much as possible.

3rd-5th Grade ELA: April 12-13

3rd-5th Grade Math: April 18-19

5th Grade Science: April 25-26

This site for students and families has lots of great information about the state test and 3rd grade Reading Guarantee. It also has a practice test that can be found in the image at the top of the page.
