Please make sure you read the latest message from our PTO as it has a message about upcoming 8th-grade events and opportunities to get involved with your PTO for the next school year.

Math Acceleration
***Only students looking to skip classes need to fill out a form.***
Academic course offerings and class sizes are dependent on student placements made during spring forecasting. The classes you select will be final unless changes are required due to work that will be completed during the summer.
Historically, many Stoller students have desired to to accelerate math levels over the summer. This required students' schedules to be adjusted in the fall, causing large class sizes. In an attempt to plan for these uncertainties, all students who plan to test for Math acceleration need to fill out the attached form and return it to the main office. Please include a brief description of the plan your family has discussed to ensure your child meets the learning targets offered in the class they are attempting to accelerate past.
The form must be completed and returned to their math teacher prior to June 7th, 2019.
Please note, due to some changes in the school calendar that were released this week we have adjusted our testing dates to:
August 20, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. or August 29th, 2019 from 9-11 a.m.
Message from Stoller PTO
The 8th Grade Celebration will be Friday, June 14th. The party starts at 11:40 am with lunch being served, followed by an afternoon of games and socializing for all 8th Graders. This is a student only event, but we need several volunteers to help make it a success. Early next week volunteer sign-ups will be made available via email. We will need help setting up, serving lunch, running activities and of course cleaning up. The party wraps up at 3:15 pm, so we anticipate most of the work will be done by the time the students are dismissed at 3:50 pm.
The final PTO meeting of the 2018-2019 School Year will be Tuesday May 28th at 6:00 pm in the Stoller Library. The agenda for the evening includes voting on updated bylaws, voting in new board members, and wrapping up end-of-the-year business. This is also a great time to learn about committee opportunities for next year such as Art Lit, Staff Appreciation, and Box Tops.
Hope to see you there.
