Dave Hopkins has been a professional teacher of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) for more than four decades, and has taught and lived in Brasil, Botswana, Pakistan, Egypt, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Thailand. His teaching and training portfolio includes Peace Corps training, Setswana language materials development, refugee training projects, English for academic purposes, business English programs, and, program development and management. He is working on a new text for professional development of English language teachers called, Teacher Learning, and consults with TESOL certificate courses. Dave has just been re-listed with the English Language Specialist Program at the US Department of State, and is preparing for a consulting assignment at the University of Southeast Asia in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
