Items you can expect to receive:
Chromebook or iPad

Nurse's health checklist
We will begin by verifying your registration and health documents upon arrival (this applies to kindergarten and grade four students). If you have not completed your registration verification you will be asked to complete this online before picking up your materials. When picking up your loaner device you will also be asked to sign for the use of the device and our school's acceptable use policy.
Spanish and Portuguese Interpreters will be available on Thursday and Friday for families who need them.

Taquina Cachimuel Fourth Grade Special Educator
Hello Lowell School families! My name is Taquina Cachimuel and I am so excited to be a new teacher at the Lowell School this year. I am a lifelong Watertown resident and graduated from Watertown High School. I recently graduated with my Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Moderate Disabilities. A fun fact about me is that my family is from Otavalo, Ecuador and I speak Spanish. I will be a Fourth Grade Inclusion Teacher this year. I am so excited to be a part of the Lowell School community and to get to know all of you!

Lowell School's Physical Learning Environment
Physical Learning Environment: Lowell School
“A safe return to in-person school environments will require a culture of health and safety every step of the way.” DESE
General:
Staff must monitor themselves for symptoms daily. Staff must stay home if they are feeling unwell. Everyone must do their part to protect others and not come to school if they are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or are feeling sick. ( Please call the office and notify Kara Flynn, Stacy Phelan, or Candice Whitmore)
COVID Symptoms include:
Fever or chills
Signs of a lower respiratory illness (i.e., cough, shortness of breath, lowered oxygen saturation)
Fatigue, sore throat, runny nose or congestion, headache, body aches/myalgia, or new loss of sense of taste or smell
Other less common symptoms can include gastrointestinal symptoms (i.e., nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), rash, inflammatory conditions such as “COVID toes,” and thromboembolic events
Masks are among the most important single measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. We require all staff to wear masks that adequately cover both their nose and mouth.
Remember and teach students...Three W’s
Wear a mask……... Wash your hands………..Watch your distance!
Regularly scheduled webinars and zooms to educate teachers on updated safety protocols and procedures will be hosted bi-monthly.
All teachers will be supplied with PPE.
