Weekly Update
Wakeland Band family and friends-
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. It is hard to believe that just 4 months ago we were ending marching season!
The band staff and design team are working hard to bring the 2017-2018 production to life. As of right now, we have about 4 1/2 - 5 minutes of music on paper for the winds and percussion music composition has begun this week! The show will be announced at band banquet and there will be posts periodically on Instagram and facebook with hints and sneak peeks of the show.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Winter Guard on two OUTSTANDING performances Saturday and Sunday at the WGI Dallas Power Regional. The Wakeland Open Class Guard placed tied for 9th in their preliminary run on Saturday placing them into finals. On Sunday, the Wakeland Guard had a terrific performance and finished in 8th place with a score of 75.75 at one of the most competitive Power Regionals in the Country.
Congratulations again to all the students and staff of the Wakeland Guard Program.
