Register for the 2022 BALTO 5K!
The tradition of BALTO began in 1995 with a group of Edmond North students who decided to start a charity fundraising week. Named after a brave husky sled dog, BALTO stands for “Bring A Light To Others,” which is just what we intend to do!
Since 1995, BALTO has raised over 6 million dollars for charities serving all kinds of needs. We have helped charities serving child cancer victims, brain tumor patients, special education students, premature babies, and many other worthy causes. BALTO strives to bring the students of Edmond North together with the community of Edmond and beyond to do some amazing work! Through activities such as the BALTO 5K, BALTO silent auction, school assemblies, t-shirt sales, and other efforts, BALTO strives to raise money each year for a worthy cause.
This year, funds raised through Edmond North’s BALTO supports Generation Why (GNWY). Generation Why aims to motivate every generation by revealing their purpose and providing opportunities to pursue it. Generation Why is a collective of creative artists of multiple mediums (dancing, rapping, and spoken word) and combats the topic of anti-bullying and brings awareness to the ever growing rates of suicide.

Please Remind Your Child About Their Student IDs
EVERY student was issued a Student ID Badge at the beginning of the year or when they arrived to Cheyenne. We have reissued IDs to those students who have repeatedly printed stickers. Per the District Policy, this MUST be worn EVERY day with the district-issued lanyard and the picture must face out. 6th graders are maroon, 7th grade green, and 8th grade blue.
If your student does not have their badge they will need to print a temporary badge for the day as they enter the school. We have three kiosks.
It is VERY important that the student remember their badge each and every day. A temporary badge should only be needed on a rare occasion not for everyday use.
Please continue to remind your child to put their badge in the same spot every day so that they have it with them every day. AS they walk out the door or get into the car ask them these two things… Do you have your ID? Is your Chromebook charged?
Student IDs help us know who should be present on our campus, they are also used to check-in and out of the office, to scan for lunch, and to checkout books in the library.
Cheyenne Showcase
Cheyenne Showcase is our recognition ceremony for Student of the Month and Mustangs of Character. These students are chosen by their teachers and they are recognized at lunch once a month. Students receive a certificate along with special treats at their lunchtime.

DROPPING OFF ITEMS
We ask that you check with your student before they walk out the door and make sure they are prepared for the day. This includes having their, Chromebook, ID and Lunch. If your student does forget their lunch or something they need for school, we have a cart in our front lobby with grade levels. This will be rolled back into the common area for the students to pick up their items during passing. Please drop off LUNCHES or SCHOOL SUPPLIES ONLY.
If you are dropping off an instrument or athletic equipment we will place this by the back office door for them to come up and get during their passing or after school. Please make arrangements with your student regarding these items and where to retrieve them.
