Please note: If you have already submitted your completed registration forms and sports physical this year, you do not need to resubmit. Simply let us know you are planning to participate in Track & Field and submit payment on March 7th.
GRADUATION SIGN-UP UNDERWAY
The IHS homeschool graduation ceremony provides an opportunity to recognize homeschoolers who complete high school. To be eligible parents must certify that students have met their state’s graduation requirements. Cost: $50 (Includes cap, gown, tassel, diploma cover and all operating expenses. IF YOU HAVEN'T TURNED IN YOUR BASKETBALL UNIFORM...
Submit your pictures by March 15th.
If you have not had your individual picture taken, please submit one by March 15th.
Seniors- we need your senior pictures no latter than March 15th.

PICTURES NEEDED: We need your pictures! If you have pictures that we can use on the student life pages, please email them to mailto:ihsyearbookpictures1@gmail.com no later than March 1!
SPORTS PHOTOS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Every shared moment amongst teammates lives on with a personalized Sports Memory Mates. Right now you can order individual pictures of your kids who played on any 2015-16 IHS sports team (Cross-country, Football, Cheer, Basketball, Track & Field).
Each 8x10 Memory Mate sheet is $10 and includes a team picture and an individual photo of your athlete (see examples below).
Orders must be received by April 8th and will be available for pickup after April 29th (at the Spring Fling--April 29th, or the Awards Banquet--May 27th, or by arrangement). If you would prefer to have them mailed to you, please include $5 for postage and packageing.

Should I correct my child’s spelling mistakes right away?
This is actually a great question that is often raised by concerned moms and dads in relation to spelling dictation exercises.
After all, correcting your child’s errors right away seems like it should always be the right thing to do, doesn’t it?
In fact, one school of thought sometimes promoted is that the picture of an incorrectly spelled word should never get imprinted on your child’s mind. The idea is that if a child starts to write a wrong letter, the error should be corrected right away so that the child never sees or writes a word incorrectly.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The deadline for submissions for the Kansas Financial Scholars Essay Scholarship Competition is Friday, April 1st. Over $7500 in scholarship awards will be given away to eligible high school seniors (including Homeschoolers). BONUS: The teacher of the first place winner will receive a $150 gift card.
Grand Prize: $2500
2nd Place: $2000
3rd Place: $1500
4th Place: $1000
5th Place: $500
Up to ten $100 honorable mention scholarships will also be awarded.
