The Razorback Review
Parent Newsletter #13
November 7, 2021
A word from the principal
Greetings Remarkable Parents,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend as well as the extra hour gained as much as I have. Progress reports are available for view. Teachers may be contacting you about your student attending small group tutorials in the upcoming weeks. Tutoring is scheduled Monday through Thursday after school for extra support. Parents, please make provisions for students to say so they can grow in the areas most needed.
The Spring ISD School of Choice applications process has begun. Parents, if you have 5th grade students who want to apply to attend Roberson, please make sure you are aware of all application deadlines. The same is true for the parents of 8th graders who want to attend Spring Early College, Wunsche HS, or Dekaney PTech Program. Please make sure to visit the Spring ISD website to access the applications.
Roberson will have two opportunities for 5th graders to visit the campus. On Monday, November 8th, 2021 from 6:30-7:00 p.m., there will be a campus tour and community introductions. On Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, from 6:30-7:00 p.m., there will be a showcase with all of the campus organizations and student exhibits so that 5th graders can experience what Roberson has to offer. If you have any questions, please remember to reach out to the grade level office.
As always, we appreciate you for all you do. Remember You're Remarkable, Definitely Not Average.
SPECIAL NOTICE

Parents, please remain vigilant. We appreciate your assistance!
Parents, we need your help to please speak to your child about the challenges, and the possible ramifications if they are found destroying school property, sexually harassing another student or staff member. Students may speak to grade level principals, counselors, secretaries, and/or teachers to report suspicious activity, or plans.
Thank you for your attention and help in this matter.

Students and parents will need to electronically access or download a copy of the Spring Independent School District Student Code for the 2021-22 school year on the district’s website at http://www.springisd.org/codeofconduct, or request a paper copy from the Department of Student Affairs at 281-891-6193.

2021-2022 Student Dress Code

Although we encourage student creativity and a means for students to express themselves, Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School’s philosophy is to maintain a focus on the educational process, and to ensure the reduction of distractions and disruptions to the learning environment. We ask that students and parents partner with us to make sure that we adhere to the dress code policy presented.
