What is Enviromental Sustainability?
The maintenance of the factors and practices that contribute to the quality of environment on a long-term basis.
Energy/Climate Change
Solar Energy
The greatest advantages of solar energy are that it is completely free and is available in a limitless supply. Both of these factors provide a huge benefit to consumers and help reduce pollution. Replacing non-renewable energy with this type of energy is both environmentally and financially effective.
Resource Use
Crop Rotation
Crop Rotation is the successive planting of different crops on the same land to improve soil fertility and help control insects and diseases. This farming practice is beneficial in several ways, most notably because it is is chemical free. Crop rotation has been proven to maximize the growth potential of land, while also preventing disease and insects in the soil. Not only can this form of development benefit commercial farmers, but it can also aid those who garden at home.
Pollution
Green Space
Green spaces include parks and other areas where plants and wildlife are encouraged to thrive. These spaces also offer the public opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation in urban areas.
Electric Cars
Electric cars help reduce pollution by elimainting the waste of the fumes of gas. It also helps reduce pollution because less oil being drilled is better for the enviroment like a gas explosion or even a oil leak could hurt the population later.
Biodiversity
Protecting Forests
One way to help biodiversity is to protect forest from deforestation and over using the resources that are there. There are many forest and wild life parks that are currently under federal protection and have major consequiences.
