Message from the Principal
Young Voices
Congratulations to Lachlan Dunn who today won the Interschool Young Voices public speaking competition which was held at Liwara Catholic Primary School. His speech about pigeons was not only entertaining but also enlightening and highlighted his fabulous personality. Well done to Lachlan and Erin Kretschmer who also made the final and did a top job.
Art Trail
Many thanks to teachers, students and parents who have been preparing for our Art Trail this Friday evening. Lots of learning and fun has been happening over the past weeks in readiness and I know our students are really keen for families to check out their fantastic class creations. If you haven’t already seen this little promo by Year 2G, just click on the link and check it out
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GXHOlzuiFkzfKoE4OuVvFNq0J5xW3zRU/view?usp=drivesdk it should put a smile on your face.
Mini Fete
We were certainly blessed with lovely weather, lots to purchase and much entertainment today at the Mini-Fete which was organized by the Year 6 students. This was an excellent opportunity to raise money for the missions, with all profits going to those in need. Thank you to the students and teachers in Year 6 for your hard work and to everyone else for supporting them.
All Saints & All Souls Day
Last week we remembered all our loved ones who have passed away. May their example be our guide and may we continue to feel their presence amongst us as they now share eternal life in the house of our Lord.
Planning for 2019
On Monday, the extended Leadership Team worked together to ensure that planning for 2019 was well underway. We are currently completing our staffing allocations and teachers are working on student groupings for 2019. There is always much to consider and plan for and it is fantastic to see how much work our staff put into these preparations. We are indeed blessed to have such a dedicated team who spend tireless hours meeting the many demands that are part of the role, often going over and above to provide rich learning opportunities for our children.
Thanks everyone and many blessings

Year 5 Outdoor Classroom Day
Our day at the beach was by far the best school day we have ever had. We had Surf Life saving in the morning where we had a paddle on the boards, did a wading race and had a free swim. Then we had a sand sculpture competition and everyone did a great job. After that we did Maths where we had to tally the colours of cars that passed. Next, we had a sausage sizzle which Mr Clarke cooked. Finally, we had a photography competition and we were also lucky enough to be given icy poles that Mr Plummer (Abby's dad) kindly bought for all of us. It surely was an amazing experience. Well done to Tobee Witheridge and Mikayla Long who won the photography competition.
