You should keep your summer bottles!! The playground society will be hosting a bottle drive and BBQ early September to help us get a new playground here at OLA. Details will be coming the first week back at school!

thank you

Thank you to Ryan Clark, who is a parent at OLA Catholic School and Suncor for the generous donation. The OLA year end celebration showcased the new equipment that students will be able to explore and enjoy for years to come.

School Fees are due

Please check your PowerSchool parent portal for any outstanding 2021-2022 school fees. Please contact Mrs. Preville at melanie.preville@eics.ab.ca if you have any questions.

Demographic forms 2022/2023

As the school year comes to an end, we would like to inform you that it’s time to update your child’s A.9 2021-2022 Demographic Confirmation Form for the year 2022-2023. Having the most up-to-date information about our students ensures that we receive all available funding to support your child's learning as well as current information to reach you during the day if necessary. The annual consent forms also allow your child's full participation in all activities, field trips and events for optimal learning at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School.

We ask that you please complete this form in PowerSchool:

You can follow these steps to access, review and submit the form:

1. Log into PowerSchool at https://powerschool.eics.ab.ca/public/

2. Under the “Forms & Fees” menu click “School Engage Student Forms

3. Students - Select your child’s name (please complete one form for each child)

4. Click on the word “New” beside the form name (A.9 2021-2022 Demographic Confirmation Form.)

Video tutorial link on how to complete the form https://www.eics.ab.ca/parents-and-students/powerschool-log-in

Thank you in advance for completing these forms so your child experiences the full learning benefits at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School.

Please contact our secretary, Melanie Preville, at 780-998-3716 if you have any questions.

Make "Thyme" for Gardening

"Lettuce" be thankful to the grade 1P, 2K and 4K classes for planting our gardens this year. This is a big "dill" as our plan is to make soup and provide students with healthy snacks (carrots) in the fall. This year we have carrots, beets, potatoes, radishes, a few yellow beans, and a little lettuce. We might be able to squeeze in some herbs, as well.

We are looking for 8 volunteer families to water our gardens over the summer. For one week of watering, you will also get to take home any produce that won't make it to the fall, or anything that replenishes itself through the summer. A filled water tank and watering cans will be there for your use.

What do you get to take home?

1. radishes: early July

2. yellow beans: July

3. beet leaves: August

4. lettuce and herbs: all summer

Thank you for signing up on our Gardening/watering document. It "beans" so much to the students in the fall when they get to eat what they planted.
