AED Superstore College Scholarship - AED Superstore is a nationwide distributor of automated external defibrillators and related accessories dedicated to increasing awareness and education around CPR and AEDs. AED Superstore is located in northern Wisconsin and operates under Allied 100, LLC. AED Superstore is offering its first bi-annual scholarship of $1,000 to eligible students. The deadline is May 31st. To submit your essay or video, please submit our Scholarship Application Form. You can also email an attachment to scholarship@aedsuperstore.com with your name and the name of the college you’re attending. If you are unsure of which college you might be attending, please indicate this with TBD.
Alabama Association of School Office Personnel (AASOP) typically awards several $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing a degree from the college of business or K-12 education. The scholarships are awarded based on scholastic record and financial need. Applications are usually available in the Guidance Office mid-winter, with a deadline typically in March 1st. Alabama Broadcasters Association Scholarship Program - Ten students will be named recipients of ABA Scholarships. Each will receive $3,000 to be applied to tuition. Must be Alabama resident pursuing a degree in broadcast communications and broadcast engineering. Applications are typically due in March of each year.
Alabama Chapter Z Scholarship Fund - Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O) is an international sisterhood where women celebrate the advancement of women. For more information about P.E.O and its foundation visit www.peointernational.org. Students must have at least a 23 on their ACT, have 3.0 minimum GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be actively involved in extracurricular activities and/or work activities and the community. The completed application packet must be mailed to Alabama Chapter Z Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 24, Creekside at Collier’s End Mooresville, AL 35649 by December 1, 2015. The student must have two letters of recommendation with a specific format that can be found on the application and a high school transcript through the junior year, including a list of senior year scheduled courses. Alabama Conservation District Employees Association Scholarship - The Alabama Conservation District Employees Association is now accepting applications for six $500 scholarships to be awarded to students who are residents of the State of Alabama and planning to enter college the summer or fall of the year 2016. Enclosed is one application. The applicant must mail or bring the application to the Madison County Soil & Water Conservation District at the address listed above no later than 3:00 PM on March 4th.
Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs Scholarship Program - The veteran must have honorably served at least 90 days of continuous active federal military service during wartime, or honorably discharged by reason of service-connected disability after serving less than 90 days of continuous active federal military service during wartime. Alabama F.A.M.E. AMT Program -Please take a moment to find out more about the Alabama F.A.M.E Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program (AMT) if you haven't already. Alabama Farm Bureau Scholarship for Agriculture Students - The Alabama Farm Bureau Federation awards a $500 Agriculture scholarship. Eligibility criteria include: high school senior planning to attend a university within the state of Alabama; family is a current member of The Alabama Farm Bureau Federation; student must have maintained a 2.5 GPA in high school; and the student must plan to pursue a degree somehow related to the field of agriculture. Applications are typically due in early May of senior year at alfafarmers.org.
Alabama G.I. Dependents’ Scholarship - As of Fall 2009, children and stepchildren of qualified veterans may receive five standard academic years (10 semesters) at any Alabama state-supported institution of higher learning or a prescribed course of study at any state-supported technical school without payment of any tuition, mandatory textbooks or instructional fees.
The key eligibility requirements are:
- Service member lived in Alabama as a permanent resident for one year prior to enlisting in Alabama
- Service member had to have served honorably for at least 90 consecutive days
- The service member must be at least 20% disabled at the time of discharge, or died as a result of military service.

Alabama Homebuilders Foundation Scholarship - Alabama Homebuilders Foundation Scholarship for students planning to study building-related field. Applications are available online at www.ahbfoundation.org. Deadline to apply is typically March 15.
Alabama Homemakers Scholarship - The deadline for the Alabama Homemakers Scholarship is April 1st. Alabama Homemakers and Community Leaders offers a $1000 scholarship to high school senior living in the state of Alabama pursuing a degree in Family and Consumer Science or one of the Human Sciences. Application available in Guidance Career Center, area file box.
Alabama Indian Affairs Commission Scholarship Fund makes awards of varied amounts. Must have a tribal roll card in a state or federally recognized tribe. For more details visit www.aiac.alabama.gov. Alabama Law Foundation, Inc., Kids’ Chance Scholarship Fund - Established by the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Alabama State Bar in 1992 to provide scholarships for college and technical school to children who have had a parent killed or permanently and totally disabled in an on-the-job accident. Scholarships typically range from $500 to $3,000. Download an application from the foundation’s website at www.alfinc.org. Entry deadline is typically May 1 of senior year.
Alabama School Public Relations Association - The Alabama School Public Relations Association is a statewide coalition of professional school communicators. ALSPRA offers financial support to students who plan to enroll in an Alabama college or university after high school graduation and who plan to seek a degree in communication, public relations or a related field. The deadline for 2016 ALSPRA Student Scholarship is January 15th. Mail your application to ALSPRA, P.O. Box 2093, Montgomery, AL 36102-2093 or email it to alabamaschoolpr@gmail.com. Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program Alfa Foundation is providing a scholarship opportunity available to high school graduates in the state of Alabama. 100 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded across the state. This scholarship program will help cover the cost of college or technical school. To apply, students must: have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent); enroll in a two- or four-year college, university or technical school in the State of Alabama; and have a current Alabama Farmers Federation Membership issued in his/her name. Annual membership can be obtained online, by calling 1-800-964-2532 or by visiting a local Alfa Insurance office. Applications available January 2016.
Alpha Delta Kappa Alabama Fidelis Alpha Chapter offers the Dr. Nell Burden Skidmore Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a student who plans to pursue a degree in Music or Music Education. Applications are typically available in late winter with an April 1st deadline.
Alpha Delta Kappa, Beta Psi Education Scholarship program assists a student in the pursuit of a college degree in the field of education. Applications are usually available in the Guidance Office mid-winter, with a deadline typically in mid-March.
American Cancer Society Mid-South Division - has established a $1,000 college scholarship program to give young cancer survivors the opportunity to pursue a degree. The scholarship program is open to students who have had a cancer diagnosis before age 21 and who have a GPA of at least 2.5. Awards are based on a combination of financial need, scholarship, leadership, and community service. Applications are typically due February 1st.
American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program - African American, Native American and Hispanic students planning to pursue full-time study in a chemically-related field with outstanding academic records and a desire to pursue a career in the chemical sciences can apply for an ACS Scholars award. ACS offers 100 or more awards of up to $2,500 for freshmen, $3,000 for sophomores and $5,000 for juniors and seniors. Applications are available online at www.acs.org or by email scholars@acs.org. Application deadline is typically March 1st.
AOD Federal Credit Union has established a scholarship to recognize and reward young AOD members for their scholastic achievements upon graduation from high school. AOD will award fifteen scholarships and up to three of which may be awarded to an individual with special needs valued at $1,000 each to graduating seniors who have been members of AOD for a minimum of one year. Additionally, in of honor of Ken Reid, Board Member Emeritus, the Mr. Ken Reid Engineering Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded to one student who is pursuing an engineering degree. Scholarships will be paid at the beginning of the student's freshman year and will be issued directly to the college, university, community college, technical or vocational school of the student's choice. Applicants will be required to submit the application package to AOD. Click here for the application, and it must be returned to AOD no later than February 15th. Animation Professional Scholarship Program - ACR is proud to announce our fifth annual "Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program. Our program offers a scholarship opportunity to high school seniors in the US. Scholarships will be awarded to a high school senior who: intends to pursue an animation related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college; has a demonstrable record of academic success' and has a passion and drive for an animation and/or design related career. Athlete of the Year - The 2015-2016 Athlete of the Year campaign is powered by Huntsville Hospital Sports Center, TOC Sports, and D1 Sports. They are looking for high school senior student-athletes that excel on the field, in the classroom, and in our community. From September to April, a panel of judges selects one Athlete of the Week. In order to participate, applicants must be a high school senior, have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and display a history of athletic and academic accomplishments, as well as a community and civic involvement. All weekly winners are invited to a banquet held in their honor in May, and two students are selected Athletes of the Year. The two Athletes of the Year each receives a $1,000 scholarship. Fill out the online application below and print the nomination form and mail it to the address listed on the form.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery - The ASVAB is going to be given at Hazel Green High School on November 10, 2015, and it is entirely optional and free! It is a standardized test that is used by the United States Military as a guide for combining a person’s skills and interests to help to determine education and career paths. Aside from interests, these results are based on Verbal, Math, Science and Technical Skills. This test is optional, free, and provides students an opportunity to practice test taking strategies with a standardized assessment. A student does not have to be military bound in order to take this test. To register for the ASVAB, students need to fill out an ASVAB registration form. These forms must be turned into the Hazel Green High School Guidance Department or JROTC by October 30, 2015. The forms can be obtained via the Guidance Department, the JROTC Department, or on the Hazel Green High School Website.

Builders - Attached you will find information on scholarship applications for any student pursuing an education in a building industry related field. Eligible students include those attending two-year community colleges, four-year colleges or universities or state accredited to tech schools. Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s College Scholarship Program is available to incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes seeking a higher education at an accredited four-year university, college, technical or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who have high academic performance, are actively involved in the diabetes community, participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. E.H. Wilbourn Scholarship is sponsored by the Huntsville/Madison County Retired Teachers Association. This scholarship of $1000 of tuition assistance per year for four years will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to pursue a career in education. The deadline is April 18th. Application forms are in the Guidance Office file box. The scholarship may not be awarded to a senior who already has received a full tuition scholarship.

Endo International PLC announced that it has funded the creation the Qualitest Scholarship Program, a $50,000 annual education initiative that will award 10 Huntsville Area students or dependents of Par Pharmaceutical employees with a tuition award of $5,000 per student. Beginning Monday, February 1st, 2016, Endo welcomes eligible students to apply for one of 10 available scholarships, which will be awarded in May 2016. Greg Ray Memorial Education Scholarship - This is a one-time $2,000 education scholarship award made to a deserving senior, public, high school student in the state of Alabama. The scholarship award is made to the postsecondary school selected by the awarded student and to the student. The application form must be completed and received by April 29th. Griswold Home Care Bi-annual Scholarship - Griswold Home Care is a mission-driven home care services company headquartered just outside of Philadelphia that celebrates, educates, and advocates the choice to remain independent at home. Griswold Home Care was founded by Jean Griswold, wife of a Presbyterian Minister, in 1982 after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and seeing the need for quality care in her community. Jean’s mission of affordable care for all continues to spread today. Hazel Green Alumni - Two anonymous alumni groups are offering scholarships to seniors in this class. The two groups are called the Hazel Green Alumni and the Hazel Green Alumni Class of 61. The application packets are available in the Guidance Office scholarship file box. The applications are due to be returned to Mrs. Hutchison no later than April 15th.
Hazel Green is an ACT Testing Site - We are excited to be an ACT testing site! We hope our students will take advantage of this opportunity! All Hazel Green students that register for the date will be eligible for e-learning days during 4th and 5th block on Friday. Sign up today and get the early release time to prepare for the test! Remember, the more exposure students have to the test, the better their score will be!
Huntsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter Tuition Scholarships. These awards are available to African American high school seniors attending any public or private high school in Madison County who plan to attend a fully accredited college or university in the continental United States as a full-time student. John F. Kennedy Memorial Scholarship - Madison County Democratic Women was founded in 1961 to support the ideals articulated by President John F. Kennedy. The centerpiece of our work is the annual JFK scholarship, awarded to a college-bound high school student who intends to pursue a career in the fields of law, government, public policy or politics. The Inter-Tribal Council of Alabama is a Workforce Investment Act Program that helps Native Americans with education expenses. They are able to help only Native Americans who: have a Tribal Roll card, reside in Alabama, have applied and been accepted to a college, have applied for a Pell Grant, are considered low-income by Health and Human Services. Madison County Educational Support Professionals Association scholarships honor a child/grandchild of a Madison County School System Support Employee. Applications are typically available in mid-winter with a March deadline.
Madison County Homemakers and Community Leaders - This scholarship is being offered to any Madison County, the State of Alabama graduating senior and will be based on financial need, leadership/service, character and scholastic ability. The award amount will be $500.00 and will be sent directly to the college or university to which the senior has been accepted and enrolled. Madison County Soil & Water Conservation District Employees Association Scholarships typically award $500 scholarships to six students who are active in student affairs and/or show leadership abilities. Applications must also show financial need. Applications are usually available in the Guidance Office in mid-winter, with a deadline typically in early March.
Miranda Bouldin General Scholarship - Miranda Bouldin is President and CEO of LogiCore Corporation in Huntsville, AL. Student must be high school senior in Madison County, Madison City, Huntsville City, or Lawrence County school system; must plan to attend a four-year Alabama College or University; must be US citizen; must have 3.0 GPA and 21 ACT or 990 SAT. Recipients receive $1,500 plus a laptop computer. Scholarship applications are due in spring of senior year.

North Alabama Educators Credit Union is accepting applications for a $1,500 Scholarship and a $750 Scholarship to be awarded in the spring of 2016. You may choose any accredited college or university of their choice to apply. Scholarship applicants must be 2016 high school graduating seniors and an NAECU member to be eligible to be awarded a scholarship. All students of public and private schools in Madison, Morgan or Limestone Counties are eligible to become a member of North Alabama Educators Credit Union. The deadline to apply is April 1st. Pro-Air “Pro-Earth” Scholarship is awarded to an area high school senior who meets the following criteria: Plans to attend a technical, two-year or four-year college upon graduation from high school; maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher and/or a score equal to or greater than 24/1650 on the ACT/SAT; provides a written essay that defines a Pro-Earth person; and provides ProAir with Pro-Earth recommendations that can be implemented following being named the award recipient. Applications are typically available in early fall with a December deadline.

Sherry Ammons Female Scholar-Athlete Scholarship is usually given to a senior female athlete who has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, academic excellence, civic and community service, character and needs, or overcoming hardship. Applications are usually available in the winter with an April 1st deadline.
Sunoco Rewards Scholarships -We are now accepting applications for our 2016 Sunoco Rewards scholarships. This year, Sunoco is offering two $1,000.00 scholarships to two future marketers. The deadline is May 31st.
Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award -Are you a young woman between the ages of 14 and 17 who exhibits leadership qualities as a volunteer in your community or school? Who sees challenges instead of obstacles? Hope instead of despair? Then you may be eligible for a Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award which includes recognition at a luncheon and a monetary award of $300. The deadline for all submittals is March 4, 2016. Please see attached details. Applications will be judged and notification is given to all applicants by March 10th, 2016. The winner will be honored at a luncheon on March 30, 2016.

USA/MAES Pre-Engineering Scholarship Program – Minority. United Space Alliance (USA) and the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES) offer scholarships to African American, American Indian, Asian, Hispanic, or Pacific Islander high school seniors currently attending school in or near Huntsville, Alabama (also Houston, Texas and Cape Canaveral, Florida). Applicants must intend to pursue college degrees in engineering, mathematics, or science. Scholarship information is available here. Deadline is usually March.
USDA/1890 National Scholars Program will provide full tuition, employment, fees, books, use of a laptop, printer, and software while on scholarship and room and board each year for four years to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at one of the historically black land-grant institutions, such as Alabama A&M University, Tuskegee University, Tennessee State University, among others. National scholars must major in an agricultural or related field. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better, have a 21/1500 ACT/SAT, demonstrate leadership and community service.
