Administrator Leadership Academy
A four-day academy for admin over the 2019-2020 school year
Target Audience
- Principals
- Central Office administrators
- Superintendents
- Supervisors / Coordinators
Structure of Academy
Academy participants will be focused on school improvement, but the planning team will determine that critical needs and agenda will be planned accordingly.
Some suggested topics/activities are:
Defining administrative leadership qualities
Quality school indicators
Professional learning community benefits
Researching what works in schools
Identifying critical factors for premier schools
Developing and completing a school improvement project (approved by the superintendent)
Examples might include:
Shaping a vision of academic success for all students;
Creating a climate hospitable to education;
Cultivating leadership in others;
Improving instruction;
Situational problem-solving;
Managing people, data and processes to foster school improvement

TIME: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (Sign in begins 30 minutes prior to the start of each session)
LOCATION: All four Academy dates will be held at the Madison-Champaign ESC
Food: Coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided -- Soda will be available for $0.50
Lunch is on your own
Materials to Bring:
Layers of clothing to adjust to room temperatures
Computer or tablet
Preferred note-taking tools and materials
COST:
$215 per participant (no micro-credential)
$250 per participant (includes micro-credential)
Credit:
1 or 2 Graduate Credits available at an additional cost of $180.
35 Contact Hours will be awarded through the ESC.
