Blackbird and Shay Elementary
PBIS Update: Our kiddos have been working really hard practicing their positive behavior skills!
At Shay we have been working on "enjoying the ride" at school. The kids have been using positive thinking/attitudes to make sure everyone is having a good school experience. We are now working on the word JOY...what it means and how we can spread it around our school.
William Shepler won a ride to school from Chief Knight at Shay and brought along his brother, Jon!
Gideon Livingston won the ride to school at Blackbird.
Mikwammi Keller won a blender bike party for his class at Shay. They made milkshakes!
Mikey Horn won "choose the menu day" at Shay. He chose french bread pizza and was able to serve mini cheesecakes to his peers. Congrats to all of this month's PBIS winners!

With the cold weather upon us and the possibility of school closure and delays, we would like to remind you that the district provides information in a number of different ways. Please go to the district webpage at (http://harborps.org/parents/school-closing-procedures/) for a list of radio and television stations to tune into, as well as information to register with School Messenger (see below) or BE ALERT, the tri-county emergency notification system.
You can also look for closures and delays on the district's website www.harborps.org or our Facebook page.
