Happy Thanksgiving

The Lost & Found Racks are overflowing with sweatshirts, water bottles, hats, and many other personal belongings. We also have a couple pairs of prescription eyeglasses in the office. If your student's are missing anything please have them check it out. Thank you.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30th. If your interested in having a retake please have your student bring in their picture package on Retake day. All students who were absent on the first picture day will have their picture taken on Retake day. Please contact the office with any questions. Thank you.

Our after-school clubs and activities have started. The Activity Card fee is $50 per student. Cash or check made payable to Chelmsford Public Schools should be turned into your child's homeroom teacher along with a completed Non-School Health Directive. The activity card allows students to take full advantage of any clubs they wish to attend. The after-school activities run from 2:40-3:40 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday throughout the year. The list of activities is posted outside of the office. Students also have the option of taking a late bus home. The routes are posted in the school and will not be posted publicly. We will work with students and the drivers to be sure kids take the correct bus home. Since we only have 3 late buses, the stops tend to be more spread out than the “regular” bus runs. After activities, students who are not taking a bus will exit the school into the Crooked Spring Road lot and can be picked up there. Please see the attachments below for details and descriptions

Parker Middle School is about to launch our school initiative for civic leadership: the Homeroom Student Ambassador program. Students in every homeroom will elect a classmate to become their homeroom ambassador. A Student Ambassador is responsible for helping their homeroom teacher, assisting new students, and representing their class when called upon.

Students will be provided all of the details on the election process during their lunch block on Monday November 1st. Students who are interested in becoming their homeroom’s ambassador will submit the required recommendation from a teacher, create a campaign poster, and deliver a statement to their peers in their homeroom. The voting takes place on November 18th!

Qualities of a Student Ambassador:

• Keep an open mind

• Be positive and have a fun perspective

• Include and be friendly to ALL Parker students in ALL grades

• Speak clearly and concisely to small groups, homerooms, and adults

• Be a responsible team player

• The committee will meet regularly before or after school as needed
