Designers envision their styles and sketch them out and commission seamstresses to bring their designs to life. They work with a team of publicists and show producers and buyers to showcase their designs in a fashion show and distribute to stores.

Fashion designers often live the jet-set life they love to mimic on their runways. They travel for business and they travel for pleasure. They are always looking for inspiration, and they take a lot of photographs. A down side would be someone stealing your ideas or a company that is producing your design may mess up your original idea. An up side would be getting your hard work and ideas out to the public for everyone to see
Education and Training
Fashion designers typically need a bachelor's degree in fashion design. Some fashion designers also combine a fashion design degree with a business, marketing, or fashion merchandising degree, especially those who want to run their own business or retail store.

- Designers must have a strong eye for color and detail, a sense of balance and proportion, and an appreciation for beauty. Fashion designers also need excellent communication. problem-solving skills, and good team work skills.
- In addition to creativity, fashion designers also need to have sewing and patternmaking skills, even if they do not perform these tasks themselves. Fashion designers also need strong sales and presentation skills to persuade clients to purchase their designs.

Salary
a basic salary is around 31-36 dollars an hour and most make up to about 40,000 to 65,000 dollars a year. It all depends on where you live. People who live in either New York or Los Angeles sometimes make up to 80,000 dollars a year.
Why is a different language needed for this career?
A different language is needed because you will go out of the country to see what other people in different countries trends are and how they dress. You most likely will go to Europe in places like France, England, and Italy. And you will have to speak with designers that speak a different language.
