Letter from Schettler
Happy Holidays!
The holiday season is upon us! Hopefully everyone gets an opportunity to rest and spend some quality time with family and friends over the upcoming days. We are very thankful for the mild weather we have been experiencing! As I look back to last year at this time, we had at least one snow day and other weather related changes that occurred prior to our winter break.
We have started the holiday season with our Book Blast handout, where we were able to hand out over 950 books to our student body. Every student in the elementary school received at least one book from the event.
The dress up days were also a hit, as the students and staff enjoy the change of pace and opportunity to see what kind of unique ideas walk through the doors each day.
Dragon Adventures will have a new coordinator when the new year begins, as Miki Loosbrock will take over the scheduling of workers and activities. Thank you to Heather Schock for coordinating things over the past year. Best of luck to Heather in her future endeavors! There will be a couple other changes happening to Dragon Adventures as well, as we will no longer have Dragon Adventures on Fridays (Monday - Thursday only). Remember if you want to take part in Dragon Adventures, please register online or contact the elementary office.
2023 has been a successful year at AES and we look forward to continuing this success into 2024!
School will resume on January 3rd.
Safe travels and happy holidays!
Mr. Schettler
