CFES Travel Plan for Parents
Destination Excellence
Week of December 7th
Happy Tuesday CFES Community! December is always such a busy time. Our students and staff are working very hard to finish the semester strong. Thank you for all of the ways you encourage your child and our teaching staff. Please carefully review all winter party information and your teacher's weekly updates to stay informed of the many events taking place in the next two weeks.
Sincerely,
Sherri Trammell
Important Winter Party Information- Action required!
As you know, this year all TISD holiday parties will be on a staggered schedule and take place Friday, Dec. 17th. CFES parties are scheduled for the following times:
Kindergarten & 3rd 9:15-10:00
2nd & 4th 10:15- 11:00
1st & 5th 11:15- 12:00
If you plan to visit CFES at any point on Friday, December 17th is it important that you complete this Holiday Party Pre-Registration today! The deadline for the Pre-Registration Process is this Thursday, December 9th.
If you have previously visited CFES this school year and had your US driver's license scanned into the system we will be able to complete your registration prior to arrival allowing you to avoid the lines. Parents who have more than one child and plan to attend multiple parties only need to submit the registration form one time.
Many parents have inquired about permission to take their child home after their Holiday Party. If you are attending your child's Holiday Party and are planning to take them home at the conclusion of the party, sign out sheets will be available in the classroom. We do kindly ask that all CFES students attend only their assigned class party. (CFES students should not be signed out in their classroom and then attend another grade level party).
When you arrive at CFES on December 17th each grade level will have designated parent sign in areas in the building. There will also be designated exit areas at the end of each class party. This detailed information will be sent out next week. In an effort to minimize traffic and building congestion please enter and exit through designated locations.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your combined effort to spread cheer during the holidays for 29 families! The Salvation Army picked up the items and will distribute the gifts, making it an even more joyful season for many children. It was so amazing to hear our students engage in conversations about the life principles of generosity, compassion and humanitarianism as they participated in thinking of others with their families.
Next week each grade level will participate in a special project highlighting giving back during this holiday season.
The CFES Community continues to model teaching our children beyond academics!

Gifting Opportunity for CFES Staff
Due to positive feedback from both staff members and parents, the CFES PTO Board has once again set up a Gift Crowd gifting page for each member of the staff. Join us in showing our teachers and staff members how much we appreciate their dedication to our children!
How it works:
1. To contribute to a group gift for any CFES staff member(s), click here.
2. Select the staff member(s), input the amount you wish to contribute, add a personal message for the recipient if you’d like, and pay online.
GiftCrowd will pool all the contributions for each individual and send it to the recipients after the gifting event closes at 9 pm on Thursday, December 16th. Every gift recipient will receive an email indicating the total gift amount he/she received together with the personal greetings from all the contributors. They will be able to redeem their gift by selecting gift cards of their choice from a large and robust selection of stores and brands.
The deadline for joining gifts is 12/16/2021 at 9:00 pm. This is a firm deadline.
Participation is totally optional and hopefully it’s beneficial to you!
Please note - this is not a fundraiser for the school or PTO - it is just a resource we are sharing to make the holidays a little easier. 100% of your gift goes directly to the recipients you choose.
If you would like to learn more about GiftCrowd, visit their website: www.giftcrowd.com.
Sincerely,
Creekside Forest PTO
