This program has a different theme each week, but all of the themes are centered around giving back to our community and making a difference in people’s lives. No sign up is required—you can join this program at any time!

Knitting and Crocheting Club - 2 pm Saturday, September 9 & 23
Bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn! Share projects and get some new ideas! New members are always welcome!

ANIME & MANGA CLUB (age 12 – 18) 5 PM Wednesday September 13 & 27
For teens and young adults who are interested in watching and discussing different anime series. We enjoy an activity, snacks and new episodes each week! No sign up required.

GENEALOGY TALK: DIGGING INTO THE PAST - 6 PM Thursday, September 14
Dr. Sue Moore, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at GSU, will explain how genealogy can lead to archaeological findings.

Adult Cooking Series – 6 PM Monday, September 18
Renowned chef, Patrick White will give a live demonstration, tasting, and a chance to learn some valuable cooking tips! On the menu: Coconut Curry Chicken with Jasmine Pilaf.

Searching for employment is easier once you learn the necessary skills. This month concentrate on Interviewing skills! Today’s session, The 411 and 911 of Interviewing will prepare the learner for Mock Interviews on September 26th. This is a free ongoing series, instructed by business woman, Monique Dennis.

How to Track Your Ancestors - 6 PM Thursday, September 21
When tracking your ancestors, sometimes you have to look at records you might not think of at first. Learn where to look with Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, Lillian Wingate.

FAMILY PROGRAM: Curious George at the Library! (all ages) - 2 PM Saturday, September 23
This is a family event, complete with fun games and activities and a visit from Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat! This program is part of our book distribution series, so all kids who attend will leave with a new book to take home!

Learn new and assorted ways to get moving and stay motivated in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This month, Damali Bacchus will get us moving with KPOP—music and movement!

STATESBORO BULLOCH COUNTY Humane Society Adopt-A-Dog - RESCHEDULED!
12-3 PM Saturday, September 30
Volunteers from the Statesboro-Bulloch County Humane Society will be hosting an adoption event at the library where you can meet some of the pups available for adoption. Come meet your potential new ’best friend!’
