A Message From the Principal
August 6, 2020
Dear Jaguars,
We are into day 2 and it has been wonderful to see all of our students' smiling faces. We appreciate all of the kind words and support from our Jaguar community. This has been a learning curve for everyone and students, teachers, and parents alike have been tackling hurdles like champs.
Homeroom teachers will be reaching out to students who have not logged on this week. As a staff, we are working diligently to ensure that we touch base with each and every student in our Jaguar family.
We realize there is a need for more technology and we are working as quickly as possible to acquire more computers for those who are without.
Teachers spent a great deal of time yesterday working with their homeroom classes as well as each academic class to assist students with the ins and outs of Google Classroom as well as the various platforms that will be used throughout our distance learning and digital learning models. The children responded well and are navigating their way to success!
I have included a few quick tutorials attached below to help you and your child at home. These videos can be accessed whenever you or your child have a question about "How To" when it comes to accessing various platforms.
How do I get into Google Classroom?
How do I join a Google classroom with a code?
What is a Google Meet? How do I use that link to see/hear my teacher?

Again, we thank each of you for your support and patience. We look forward to an outstanding year!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Tassin and the Wigwam Staff

Email and Difficulty with Logging Into Class
Teachers begin homeroom promptly at 8:50am. At that time they are monitoring their screens, welcoming students, and taking attendance which requires them to work in yet another screen. Unfortunately, teachers will not be able to respond to emails while they are teaching. However, if your child is having difficulty logging into class, we do have administrators who can help. Please feel free to email your child's advisor.

You can also call the office at 623-547-1100 and our office staff will be happy to connect you to an advisor right away.
Teachers will answer other academic and/or classroom-related questions within 24-48 hours. Thank you for your understanding with this.
