Parent Connection: Relationship Skills

A person’s skill at promoting and maintaining positive connections with others is critical, especially at this time in your child's development. Relationships are the most important aspect of our lives and influence everything we do day-to-day. Learning the skills necessary to have healthy relationships is important not only for the individual, but also for the classroom, school, and community.

Please join us as Mrs. Gow leads us in a discussion about working with children on relationship skills. If you are able to attend, we would appreciate an RSVP to help us prepare.

We are proud to launch our Reflections Program at Blanton for the 2019-2020 school year! This year, the theme will be “Look Within”, and all entries must be created specifically to support this theme. Students can enter any or all of the six art categories. Students may also submit multiple entries within a single arts category.

*To be eligible, one person from the student’s household must be a current member of the Blanton PTA. For a full eligibility description, information on rules, and student entry forms, please visit Entries may be submitted to Ms. Valenta no later than October 31st! Additional questions may be sent to Nicole Marenic at

Students may explore their creativity through one or more of the following categories: Visual Arts, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, Literature, Film Production, and Photography. The deadline for local submission is October 31, 2019. Entries may be turned in to Ms. Valenta.
