The Lower Mills school community is continuing to pray for all of the victims in Florida, their families, law enforcement as well as all school faculty and administration. SJP2CA is committed to ensuring that all of our students feel loved and safe each and every day. Our school community continues to practice our Safe Mode procedures. We have a School Safety Committee that we have put into place. I will be sharing more about this at our next Parent Corps meeting on Tuesday, March 13th at 6pm. I will be looking for a parent representative to join our School Safety committee, if you are interested please email me and plan on attending the meeting on 03/13. I have included some resources below that provide support to families who are looking for ways to speak to children at home about these senseless acts of violence. We will continue to embed healthy ways of problem solving in our classrooms, use our faith as a driving force and live like Jesus did as well as continue to provide a healthy school community where every student feels valued and important.

We are so proud of the Lower Mills students who made their First Penance last Friday!

A Love Note from the Love Monster...

Grade 1A wrote kind notes to their classmates for morning work. They had special, large 'Love Note' felt envelopes that they were able to deliver them in. Ne'Kyi wrote to her friend Daniela, "You are beautiful in the inside and the outside and you are creative." What an amazing way to build a positive classroom community!

STEM time is always a good idea! #LowerMillsEarlyChildhoodRocks

Students in PreK used a scale to make predictions about which objects would be heavier or lighter? They used a chart to track their predictions and observations. It was really cool to see 3 and 4 year olds thinking about the weight of objects from their classroom, from nature walks and from home and talking about their thoughts with their classmates.

Students in Grade 5 had a little VIP party!

They all earned their own, personalized S.W.A.G. (Students Who Achieve Goals) Award from Mrs. Hockey...they even got to walk the Red Carpet! Wait until you see the confetti, high-five surprise at the end!

Congratulations to Kaleb in Grade 3!

Caleb was the proud recipient of the Corey C. Griffin Courage Award presented to him at the prestigious Boston Winter Ball! There were close to 800 guests at the event, honoring the life and philanthropic passion of Corey C. Griffin. To learn more about the Corey C.
