Columbian Exchange VS Internet

The Effects and The Similarities Between the Two

Columbian Exchange

Columbian exchange is what happened when the Americas, or the New World, would exchange items in trade with European countries. This early trading partnership benefited both parties because each region had products that the other needed or wanted.
Columbian Exchange is a very old concept (inspired by Christopher Columbus) of trading goods and services. Some people cannot obtain certain things in their own country and have things that other people cannot obtain anywhere else. So people trade things they have for things they need.

The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link billions of devices worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies.
The Internet is very similar to the columbian exchange, over the internet everyone anywhere worldwide with an internet connection can share things that people might not know or have in there conversation. Social networking sites such as Twitter and Tumblr are a prime example because everyday people can obtain information from reading what someone that could be across the world has typed. The information you couldn't have gotten otherwise.

The columbian exchange and modern day internet are very similar in many ways, its important to be able to obtain things that you have the right to obtain. Columbian exchange and internet both deal in transportation of goods, but those things don't have to be just materialistic items. They can be things such as words on a screen telling you something new and interesting that you didn't know beforehand
The Columbian exchange and Internet are very similar, they both specialize in trade and income/outcome. Columbian exchange is just as global as internet maybe even less significant. It mostly deals in materialistic things and its more for profit than anything else where as Internet can be classified as for profit, entertainment, scientific purposes and many more. The many broad-bands of networks connected in the internet can stretch over itself an infinite amount of times and with things like code, its capable of anything your mind can comprehend.

Now that I've learned a little more about the Columbian exchange and used my extensive knowledge of the internet. At first I figured that it would be hard to compare the two, but it was easier than I expected and got easier and easier as It went on. Its amazing how similar they actually are even though they are from two totally different time periods. Its important that even more people gain knowledge about these topics especially when they are compared to each other.

Now that the community can compare these two topics, they can see that the internet and the columbian exchange are very similar and most people already have a big enough capacity of facts about the internet since most of us have grown up with it. So now everyone can use these facts that they have learned about these topics and apply them to their everyday life and learn more about the columbian exchange on their own, especially if some people want to go into business when they are older or another type of career that deals with international trading.
