What Did We Learn This Week?

Language Arts

We kicked off our week with Dr. Seuss's birthday on Monday! Most of the kids LOVED eating green eggs and jam! Some even wanted seconds but there was not enough! We also had fun writing our own version of a class book called Green Eggs and Jam. In grammar we learned how to use the verb do, does, and did. Some of us we were busy editing and writing the final drafts of our present life!!

Math

We had a short math week this week, but we did have fun trying to dance to the Macarena to practice our facts! Also, we played a fun dice and marshmallow game called Blizzard and a card game called Top It! We also took our final quiz on multiplication facts 0-12. We all rocked it!

Hebrew

Dear 2nd grade parents,

We concluded the Purim unite with a great Purim carnival and work in our holiday booklet.

In our ARIOT book, we covered the letters ט (TET) and שׂ (SIN).

Our verbs were:

מְשַׂחֲקִים- playing (MESACHAKEEM)

שְׂמֵחִים- happy (SMECHEEM)

We read the related story and continued to work on reading fluency.

Shabbat shalom and Happy Purim!,

Galia Sabbag

Science

We all headed to the idea lab to build simple and compound machines. It was so much fun! We then took our final test on Simple Machines. It was easier than we thought!
