Superintendent's Report
Dr. Pearson reported that the district has launched the #D303Thankful campaign. Notecards have been provided to schools, and a template is on the website so people can show their appreciation for our staff members and families.

For Discussion
Instructional Models
Based on the recommendation from the Kane County Health Department for schools to take an adaptive pause from in-person instruction, the Board and Administration recommended extending remote learning through January 5, 2021.
NorthEast Academy Update
- Mrs. Sharon Stanley, Director of the NorthEast Academy, shared a presentation about the progress being made on the Academy with the formation of a design team, advisory committee, and student focus groups.
- High school counselors will be sharing the program information with students as they prepare to enroll in classes for the fall of 2021.
- The Board will be asked to approve a name change for the program to Compass Academy at the regular meeting on December 14.
Student Learning Outcomes and Goals
Dr. Denise Herrmann, Chief Academic Officer, shared a presentation related to Student Learning Outcomes and Goals (formally known as the Student Achievement Report).

Superintendent's Report
- Dr. Pearson reported that parent responses to the second semester Learning Model Choice Survey will be completed soon.
- Dr. Pearson continues to participate in weekly calls with the Kane County Health Department.
Presentations
- Mr. Robert Lewis from PMA presented a Bond Market update to the Board. He discussed future borrowing options for the district. The Board will be voting on a resolution to pay off the 2011 GO Bonds at the regular meeting on December 14. Click here to view the presentation.
- Susan Jones and John Epperson from Miller Cooper & CO discussed the recent audit of the district. A copy of the audit will be posted on the district website.

Food Service Program Update
Dr. Chapman, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, provided an update about the D303 Food Service Program and reported that we have seen an increase in the number of meals distributed. The holiday distribution schedule is posted below.

Facility Master Plan Update
Mr. Dan Kritta from Wold Architects reported on the Facility Master Plan, including the upcoming building tours that committee members will be taking.
The Quad Rental
Mr. John Baird, Assistant Superintendent of Operations, reported that he has been in discussions with representatives from the former Charlestowne Mall about renting space to store D303 items in an effort to free up space in our schools. The Board will be asked to vote on this item at the regular meeting on December 14.
