Sometimes, I think God forces us to slow down and spend time with those we love....I do hope you were able to catch up, recharge and have hit the ground running since returning today.

I was definitely ready to see the ice disappear and the sun shine, but I did enjoy this view when I visited campuses during the winter weather. To see the whole entire field as an ice rink was pretty cool! If I was a little younger and braver (don't need any broken bones), I might have gotten a running start and gone for a slide.

Now that we have thawed, let's pour into our students until Spring Break!

Students from the I.W. Evans Gifted and Talented program traveled to Denton the weekend before the ice storm to compete in the Future City Competition.

The team picture above won Best Overall for Hollywood 2.0 Innovation in Climate Change Adaptation.

Best System Design was won by the entry titled Tidalwave. The Tidalwave group presented in front of a live audience and were the only 6th grade team to do so.
