Due to the Heartland Lakes Career Fair on Friday, April 14th, we ask that Students please do not park in the front parking lot of the High School or the bus loop. We need those spots for our vendors and food trucks to park! Please park in the parking lot by the softball fields or pool doors. Thank you!

Why: To inform all who attend of the numerous job and career opportunities in the Heartland Lakes area!
Volunteer: Lots of student volunteer opportunities available if you need service hours.

RYLA Camp Application Deadline has been MOVED!
The Rotary Youth Leaderships Award (RYLA) Camp 2023's application date has been pushed back!
The new deadline is next Monday, April 17th.

The time for scholarships is NOW! Be aware of the rapidly approaching deadlines for many scholarships.
Panther Tracks Deadline is now APRIL 28TH!
Attention Seniors!
If you have completed or are in the process of completing a panther track or more right now, the deadline has been moved up to April 28th. So, please use the following link to submit your Panther Tracks completion information form for us to review before April 28th. A link to the panther tracks catalog is included in the following link.

Camp Ripley
Take a trip to Camp Ripley in Little Falls to Tour & Interact with this Hands-On Experience on Wednesday, May 3rd!
Open to All Interested 10th, 11th, & 12th graders! 15 spots left!
The bus leaves at 7:30am from the high school front doors and we will be back at the school by 4pm at the latest. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the high school. Lunch will be provided, free to students, in the Mess Hall.
We will take a tour of their equipment and try out night vision, see careers in their trades center to view jobs in welding, electrical, among others, check out the environmental center and DNR tracking of MN wolves and bears, see the outside military museum and check out/fly the drones, learn about military careers and awareness as well as national guard 101.

Scholarships
Bonnie Carpenter Memorial Scholarship-1 award
- The senior must graduate from Park Rapids High School and enroll in a cosmetology program within six months of graduating from high school.
- Write a short essay on the importance of receiving this scholarship and why you want to have a career in cosmetology. Also, include a list of any school, church, community involvement and work experience.
Deadline: May 1, 2023

Charles and Donna Lord Memorial Scholarship-$500
- The scholarship applicant must be a graduating senior from Park Rapids Area High School
- The scholarship applicant must be pursing a degree in the field of business, leadership, or entrepreneurship
- The scholarship applicant must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation
- Compose a one-page essay on why you decided to pursue a degree in business, leadership or entrepreneurship. Explain how you plan to lead others and create a positive impact within your community through your future degree. Think of this essay as your, “Sales Pitch” on why you should be selected over your peers.

Else Undem Hinds Memorial Scholarship-$400
- Must be a senior at Park Rapids Area High School and will major in nursing
- May be enrolled at a two-year or four-year college. Both are equivalent.

Evergreen Lodge is Hiring Groundskeepers & Cabin Cleaners!
Competitive Pay! They Will Train!
Groundskeeper Job Details:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Prefer a Drivers License
- Ability to drive a riding lawn mower and/or a truck
Cabin Cleaner Job Details:
- Saturday Mornings from 8:30am-1:30pm
- Must be at least 15-16 years old

Birch Harbor Resort
Birch Harbor Resort is hiring Saturday cabin cleaners to their fabulous, fun, and flexible team starting June 10th, 2023!
They are looking got fun, energetic team members to work with a group of 3-4 people from 8:45 am-3:00 pm on Saturdays. Each team member will have a specific area to be responsible for cleaning. No experience is necessary, pay depends on applicants' experience.
Skills needed:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds, bend, and reach.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and patient.
- Must be able to have fun!
