2023-2024 Annual Campus Climate Survey
Every family has a voice in Lamar CISD’s ongoing pursuit of educational excellence, and we are seeking your feedback about the school your student(s) attends during the Annual Campus Climate Survey.
The survey will be emailed to all families on Tuesday, February 13 and will remain open until Friday, March 1. We encourage parents/guardians to respond to the survey through the email sent by K12 Insight or by visiting the campus website home page.
There will be questions about critical school issues such as academic preparation, student support, family engagement, and more. Families with students in more than one school may submit their feedback in a couple of ways: individually on the campus website home page or there will be a link in the thank you message to submit a response for another student after the first survey response. Please know that your feedback is confidential, reports will not identify individuals. No one in the District will know whether you have participated unless you identify yourself in the space for open-ended comments. After the survey closes, we will report the findings on the Lamar CISD website. Thank you for your feedback.
Note from the Principal (Mr. Semmler)
Dear DLJHCharger Families,
Can you believe there are only 14 days until Spring Break? Things fly by for us just as fast as they do for our families. This year has been a great year even though we have dealt with incredible growth in our area. There continues to be successes all over our building and in our community which should remind us how wonderful it is to live in Fulshear, TX and the future is very bright for our community.
I encourage everyone to stop and smell the roses once in a while. This week, that means taking time to reflect on the positive things that are occurring. Please submit those in our district survey as well as in this link: https://forms.office.com/r/1s8zRqjLKa.
We call this our "Be The One" shoutouts. We take information from students and parents and share these with our teachers to uplift and raise up their spirits. In a world that seems to be just "tearing down" others, we know many of you have positive uplifting messages for our teachers as well as each other.
I hope you can find the time to fill out the survey and tell an uplifting story about one of our staff. It means so much to hear the positive comments from our community through this link and through surveys from our parents and students.
Sincerely,
Michael Semmler

Student of the Week
A-GR
I am nominating Charlie because he is a responsible young man. He takes initiative to clean up after others without having to be asked to. He is a doer and doesn't wait for someone else to complete the things that need to be done.
GS-OM
Seth Moore was nominated by Ms. Melson
Seth really fits all of the character trait pillars, but I chose him for respect and responsibility. He has impeccable manners and is dedicated to his education. He is kind to his peers and a model student.
ON-Z
Lydia Wynantwas Nominated By Ms. Burton
Lydia encompasses all the character traits, however, I am nominating her specifically for Responsibility. Lydia is a hard-working student and always puts forth great effort. This is especially obvious when she has been absent or knows she will miss my class. I am always impressed with her eagerness to stay on top of her work, not miss any notes or grades and always do whatever she has to do to not miss any content. It is refreshing to teach a student with such a mature, responsible mindset when it comes to her work.

Student Badges
As part of the dress code requirements for the 2023-2024 school year, each student is required to wear a school ID Badge. Each student is given a new badge at the beginning of each year (or when a new student registers). Badges must be worn on a lanyard, around the neck all day. Student pictures must be visible and not covered.
If a student has forgotten their badge, they have an opportunity either to purchase a new badge ($5.00) or wear a sticker badge. Sticker badges will receive the consequence of 1-day lunch detention and $1.00 fine, place on the student's account for every printed sticker badge.
