2nd Hand News

April 7-10

Hopefully, everyone is enjoying this glorious weekend weather and it will continue into next week. Last week, second graders continued to work on standard measurement to 1/4 inch by making their own rulers. The weekly spelling words included words that end in -y but have a long "e" sound. Students learned how to interview and be a bystander character to the main plot of Fantastic Mr. Fox, and further develop their understanding of point of view. The 5th grade History Fair and 3rd grade play gave us opportunities to write cards to fellow students and include a compliment, a character description, and a favorite song. Bravo to our Poppies and Tornadoes who stepped up and added to the wonderful performance of The Wizard of Oz!
