Gilliard Gator News
August Parent Newsletter 2023
Greetings from Principal Faith Belle-Lucy
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome back to another exciting school year here at Gilliard Elementary School! I hope that you are rejuvenated after a restful summer break. As the principal of Gilliard, I am thrilled to embark on this journey together, supporting each other in our shared mission of providing an excellent education and positive learning environment for our students.
First and foremost, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new students and their families. We are delighted to have you join our school community, and we look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Rest assured that our dedicated staff members will make every effort to help the transition process go smoothly for all new students.
For our returning students and families, welcome back! Your continued commitment to education and active participation in our school community is greatly appreciated. We are excited to build upon the knowledge and skills you have gained in your previous years at Gilliard, and we are confident that this year will be filled with new growth, achievements, and memorable experiences.
Our dedicated faculty and staff members have been working diligently to prepare engaging and rigorous curriculum that caters to the unique needs and interests of our diverse student body. We are constantly striving for innovation and excellence, and will continue to implement new programs and initiatives to enrich your child's learning experience.
We also value the importance of effective communication and open collaboration between school and home. Please ensure that you regularly check our school website and other social media outlets for important information that is sent out. Your child's teacher will also provide you with information or the digital platform they will use for important updates, announcements, and resources. Additionally, we encourage you to attend our parent-teacher conferences and school events as they provide valuable opportunities for us to work together in supporting your child's academic and personal growth.
Please remember the importance of you being actively engaged in our school community. Families, you play a pivotal role in your child's education and we encourage your involvement in our various volunteer opportunities here at the school. By working together, we can create an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Once again, I want to express my enthusiasm for the upcoming school year and my gratitude for your ongoing support. Together, let us make this year a remarkable one, filled with countless achievements and fond memories. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any staff member.
Here's to an amazing year ahead! Let's continue together to make Gilliard Elementary School GREAT!
