School's out for summer!
No Drop Off or Pick up in the loop
Clover Bar Junior High has added an additional bus to our students transportation. This is creating increasing traffic and additional risks for student crossing.
Parents who are using the loop off the school parking lot for drop off are being asked to please drop off in front of the school instead.
The area designated for drop off is indicated in RED in the adjacent photo. Once again, the space directly in front of the school is for buses only. DO NOT USE this loop for student pick up or drop off. If you have any concerns, please contact the school directly.
Grade 9 Farewell
We are very excited to share information with our families about the Grade 9 Farewell that will take place on June 9 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in our school gymnasium and Friday June 10 (for students only) at the Kinsmen Center in Edmonton.
Please read the details below.
On the evening of June 9, students and their families are invited to join us at the school in our school gymnasium for a photo session where each home room will be photographed. We will also take a large group photo as well. The photos will run from approximately 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Following the photos, the students will view a slide presentation prepared by our photography class.
Staff, students and families are then invited to join us for a DJ hosted dance in the gym that will run until 8:00 p.m. During the dance, we will be asking parents to provide snacks for our students ( these snacks will need to be individually packaged snacks and drinks only). Please watch for more details if you are interested in volunteering for this!!
The next day, June 10, grade 9 students will be invited to attend an optional field trip to the Kinsmen park in Edmonton. The cost will be $25.00 and this will cover transportation, sub costs and passes to access to the Kinsmen Field House for the day. Alternate activities such as mini golf or outdoor swimming may be purchased individually by students. (more information to follow). Students will be responsible for their own food and beverages during the day.
We are so excited to be able to share this experience with our grade 9 students and are looking forward to it immensely!!

Bus Driver Appreciation Day
THANK YOU! Driver Appreciation Day is May 2
Join us on May 2 as we recognize and thank our school bus operators for keeping the safety of our students their first priority. We encourage you, and your children, to take a moment to say thanks to our bus operators—who go above and beyond to provide safe and timely transportation to our students.
On behalf of Clover Bar Junior High, THANK YOU to all of our school bus operators for a job well done.
Summer School 2022
Summer School 2022 registration is now open, and families will register directly online. Busing may be available from Fort Saskatchewan to Sherwood Park pending sufficient enrolment.
Mental Health Week runs May 2-8
Mental Health Week takes place May 2-8.
To mark the week, Clover Bar Junior High School has a series of activities and lessons planned for students, all centred on Mental Health Week’s theme, “This is Empathy”—particularly fitting, especially this year. Empathy helps connect us, feel less isolated, and shows us how we can help others. Some of the school activities planned include:Hats on for Mental Health (May 4)
Collectively, students will learn when we do something good for others, we lift both their spirits and our own. In addition to school activities, students and staff can also share messages about empathy and kindness on various social media platforms using the hashtag #GetReal.

Student Transportation: 2022-23 registration is now open
Planning to use Student Transportation in the 2022-23 school year? If so, make sure your child is registered so Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) can plan routes and send your child a bus pass before the first day of school.
All students who indicated needing transportation services through the returning student registration process are now registered. Families registered will received tentative route schedules and invoices by the end of the month—fees are due June 30, 2022.
For those students who didn’t indicate needing transportation service through the pre-enrolment process and want to now register, simply contact EIPS Student Transportation at 780-417-8151 or email st@eips.ca.
For more information about EIPS Student Transportation visit www.eips.ca/transportation.
NOTE: Families can pay fees online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal. To pay in-person contact Student Transportation to make an appointment.
