Update from Principal Boyd
December 16, 2022
From Principal Boyd
EJ Families,
The semester has come to an end and I couldn't be more proud of our scholars and staff. Thank you for trusting us with your students each day. I pray that you have a wonderful holiday filled with peace, rest, and FUN! We will see you in 2023!
Winter Concerts
Our Winter Concerts were a complete success! A special thank you to Mr. Massie for his leadership. Thank you to Ms. Wylie for helping with backdrops, too. We had two packed days and our students did AMAZING!
Book Mobile
Our Book Mobile has been around to every grade level and each of our scholars were able to "shop" for a book to take home for the break. The book now belongs to them and we hope they will find some time to read for enjoyment while enjoying their time off from school.
Book Vending Machine
We had our first set of scholars earn a golden coin for our book vending machine! Students in grades K-2 who passed 13 or more iReady lessons in Reading and students in grades 3-5 who passed 10 or more lessons received a golden coin.It was so cool to see them excited to put their coin in the machine and choose their books.
Holiday Giving Program - Thank You!
Thank you to our families for donating to our EJ Community Foundation in support of our Holiday Giving Program. Due to your generosity, we were able to ensure that over 80 students will have a great holiday filled with special items that they personally chose. A special thank you to Jessica Saunders and our Foundation for organizing this massive program.
PTA Thank You!
Thank you to our fabulous PTA for assisting with our holiday parties and staff gifts. We are so fortunate to have a supportive community. It truly takes a village!
Parent University - January 12
We are hosting a Parent University on January 12th. This meeting will cover assessments administered in Fulton County, with a focu on the GA Milestones. Although the Milestones is only taken in grades 3-5, this presentation is for ALL parents in ALL grades. We hope to see you there!
School Governance Council - EJ Tour
The Community and Outreach Committee of our School Governance Council (SGC) is hosting a Tour for prospective parents on January 26, 2023. The goal of the tour is to give our community members with children a peek into what Esther Jackson has to offer. We are so proud of our school and would like to share what makes EJ special. If you know any parents who are undecided about where to send their students, please send us their information so that we can personally invite them to our EJ Tour. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

CONGRATULATIONS to these EJ SCHOLARS and CONGRATULATIONS to the GREEN House for being the overall winning house color!
Teacher and Staff Recognition
The role of an educator is extremely rewarding and sometimes tough. it is so important that we always show appreciation to our EJ staff.
Ms. Smith - I want to thank Ms. Smith very much for helping my daughter. She had not been in daycare before or had much contact with children and now I see her more confident, she relates more with people, she is very happy with her teachers, and she loves them very much. This is so important to us as parents that our children feel safe in everything they do. Thank you very much! Parent of PreK student
