Message from Principal Perkins
Good evening Trix Families,
I hope everyone is safe and have their electricity back on. Last week we had 3 unexpected days off because of weather and power outages. The school building is back up and running so school is back in session tomorrow morning. If your power is still out and your scholar will be out tomorrow, please contact the school so we can mark it as an excused absence.
We are also moving our Black History Event back one day to Tuesday, February 28th from 4:00-5:30. This will allow staff and scholars one more day to practice, complete their presentations, and decorate. We would love to see all of our Trix Families in attendance and we appreciate your patience.
Please connect with your scholar and their teacher to see if they have been selected or are volunteering to dress up as their person. We want to ensure scholars are in costume and ready to go on Tuesday.
If you have not completed the ESSER survey, please do so ASAP. Again, we want your feedback in how to best utilizes these funds to support scholars.
Lastly, it is important that parents receive all school messages in a timely fashion. If you have changed your phone number, emails, and or addresses, please notify the school so your contact information can be updated in PowerSchool. When we have any school closings, information is communicated via our Smores Newsletters, ROBO Calls (which also sends a text message), all local news outlets (Fox 2, Channel 4 and Channel 7), Facebook, and the schools website. If you are every not sure if we have school please check for information in these places or call the school directly.
We appreciate your support and LET'S WIN THE WEEK!!!

Parent Survey
We want to hear your voice when it comes to infusing our schools in the wake of COVID19. ESSER is a stimulus and emergency COVID relief funding stream authorized as part of the CRRSA Act enacted on December 27, 2020. This additional funding stream is intended to help states and school districts safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s students. We are working to hear the voice of our stakeholders when determining use of funds. The allocations are only designated for very specific areas. Please provide us your feedback by taking the survey link link
