The Roman Road was often made of stone and then metaled. You can still see them today.
They often useed if for trading. They also waked on it, rode horse back on it, and carts pulled my oxen
It was vital to the maintence and devolpment of the Roman State. There are 400,000 km of roads, whicch 80,500 km were stone paved.
