Tuesday, January 31, we will conduct an Active Threat Drill at SMS. Students will participate in this drill and will debrief with our School Resource Officer and their classroom teacher.

An email will be sent to parents following the active threat drill as well.

Thank you to NASA Astrophysicist, Jeff Woytach, for visiting Strongsville Middle School this past week. Mr. Woytach spoke to our 6th grade honors students about the history of the development of nuclear energy and how that has led to space exploration.

Over the next few weeks, 8th grade students will be starting their high school journey by selecting the courses they plan to take in 9th grade. Parents and students should read THIS LETTER which includes important information about the scheduling process. Below is also list of important dates for students and parents to be aware of:

Strongsville Youth Lacrosse - Registration for Spring Season NOW OPEN!
Come be a part of America’s fastest growing sport. Strongsville Youth Lacrosse has been growing since 2008 and registration for the 2023 spring season is now open for boys and girls in 2nd-8th grades! Indoor practices begin mid-February and the outdoor season runs from late March through May. All experience levels welcome. Join Strongsville High School Golf Team coaches and varsity golf players at the Girls Youth Strongsville Golf Camp! The camp is open to girls in 4th - 8th grades and focuses on developing the proper techniques in the golf swing, as well as improving skills for the short game and putting. The camp fee is $100 and will be held once a week in April and May from 6pm - 7pm at Valleaire Golf Club (6969 Boston Rd. / Hinckley).
