Let's Talk TPS
District Communication - April 6, 2022
TPS Families -
Spring has sprung!
When you return from break, we should see warmer days and signs of spring all around us as we head into the last two months of our school year. Each year truly seems to pass more quickly than the last.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing information on school performance reports, end-of-year activities, and final budget information. Stay tuned to this weekly publication for the most up-to-date information related to the close of this year and the start of our next one.
As you prepare to embark upon a well-deserved week away from the daily routine, I wish you all good weather, relaxed days, and a wonderful spring break.
Yours in Education,
Shauna C. DeMarco
Superintendent Tenafly Public Schools

Music Students Practice for Good; Raise Funds for Save the Children Fundraiser
Tenafly music students are hoping that their hard work in preparing for the upcoming spring concerts can also help the less fortunate. As children in other parts of the world, like Ukraine, face situations that no child should face, our music students are working to translate practice time into fundraising. The students are hoping to find sponsors that will donate money for each minute of practice during the months of April and May. All funds raised will be donated to Save the Children, a non-profit organization that works to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. In 2015, Tenafly Music partnered with Save the Children to raise money for the humanitarian crisis in Nepal following a devastating earthquake, raising more than $8,000.
To support the musical fundraising efforts and help provide life-saving relief for the children of Ukraine, visit the Save the Children site. Our students are hoping to surpass our grand total from 2015!
