CHARACTER STRENGTH: BRAVERY

You act with mental, moral, or physical strength even when you know things are difficult or scary.

Bravery refers to voluntary action in the face of a dangerous circumstance. This strength involves judgement; the brave person must have an understanding of the risks and consequences involved in acting. Bravery isn't just fearlessness, but also overcoming fear. Individuals with this strength might be described as courageous, heroic, daring, or noble.

US Veterans Corps Candy and Card Drive

This year PRE has partnered with US Veterans Corps to let our service men and women know how much they mean to us. We will be collecting Halloween candy and letters to our troops from Monday, November 5th - Friday, November 9th. If you'd like to donate a portion of the candy you collected or would like to write a letter or card, please drop in the designated boxes in the front lobby. THANK YOU for supporting our troops!

OPERATION NOAH

Penny Road graduate, Talia Weinstein, is working on a service project called Operation Noah. Talia is collecting NEW stuffed animals to donate to sick children at Duke Children's Hospital. Donation bins will be in the front lobby from November 5th - 9th. Please consider donating a NEW stuffed animal to comfort a child during a difficult time. Thank you.

SLIME TIME!!

Halloween at PRE this year got a bit messy for Principal Hoke!! She was such a good sport as student fundraisers celebrated their successful efforts during the Fun Run! Thank you, Mrs. Hoke, for taking one for the team!

Penny Road Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Leauma! When asked about her success she replied, “The measure of success is unique & often invisible to the untrained eye & they are not her own, but the victories of her students.” Thank you for all you do for the families of Penny Road! What a well-deserved honor.
