Alanton Achieved the Pearl School Award

Congratulations to the staff and students of Alanton Elementary School for achieving the Pearl School Award for 2015-2016. I can tell that you have all been working hard to achieve this award and be good stewards of the Earth.


You will be receiving a certificate and your year decals before the end of the school year.

College & Continuing Education Information Program for Employees

The Office of Professional Growth and Innovation for Virginia Beach City Public Schools will host the first College and Continuing Education Information Program for employees on Thursday, June 2. This event will be held at Landstown Middle School from 6-8 p.m.

This event will provide all employees an opportunity to visit with multiple universities and colleges to learn more about available face-to-face and online degree programs, continuing education courses, and certification programs/classes.


The flyer was emailed to you on Thursday. An up-to-date listing of participating schools will be posted on the Office of Professional Growth and Innovation's page on the intranet.
